A Love Story Eight Years in the Making
Lauren and Jack’s love story started in 2016, with a blind date and a classic, get-to-know-you romance (think weekly dates and endless conversation). It wasn’t long before a simple meal out turned into a night so full of laughter and chatting that even the restaurant staff were keen to close around them!
Fast forward to December 2020, and the couple moved into their first home together—right in the thick of the pandemic. It was a challenge, but it only brought them closer. Jack’s heartfelt proposal came in their favourite spot, the beautiful Cotswolds, and less than a year later their dream wedding at Lillibrooke Manor became reality.
The Vibe: Love & Energy All Around
“The room was filled with love and the evening filled with energy!”
Lauren and Jack wanted a day full of authentic touches—elegant, sophisticated, and true to themselves. There was no prescribed colour scheme; choices evolved naturally, from stone suits with navy ties to beautiful blush pink florals. Every detail had a personal touch: handwritten vows, crafted place cards, and thoughtful readings from their mums.
Why Lillibrooke Manor?
The couple loved the rustic vibe but didn’t want to ask family to travel far. Lillibrooke Manor was perfect—offering that countryside, Cotswolds charm with seamless flow between spaces. Lauren recalls, “We were in love from the moment we arrived. The way the venue flows through each stage of the day is absolutely seamless.”
Bringing Their Day to Life
Lauren and Jack’s DIY approach made their wedding truly unique. Family pitched in with setup, and Lauren’s mum and auntie lovingly baked cupcakes for everyone. These thoughtful gestures, big and small, helped their day feel warm, inviting, and utterly personal.
Food, Festivity & Favourite Moments
As foodies, the couple were blown away by Lillibrooke’s menu: abundant canapés, sharing platters, and a showstopping chocolate and caramel tart. The evening brought wood-fired pizzas—enjoyed as much at 2am as they were fresh!
When asked for a favourite moment? They wouldn’t change a thing. “Do it all exactly as we did it. The day was fabulous and we couldn’t have asked for more.”
Words of Wisdom
Lauren and Jack’s advice for future couples:
Stay together, enjoy every second, and plan the day your way.
“It’s what you’ll remember for the rest of your life together – it’s another beginning!”
