Wedding Sales & Events Executive

Position Details:

Heritage Venues operates high end events and catering at two of Berkshire’s most beautiful and successful barn venues – Lillibrooke Manor in Cox Green in Maidenhead, and Stanlake Park in Twyford.  Events are mainly private weddings, plus corporate events, parties and filming.

The full-time role of Sales & Events Executive requires a special blend of high customer focus and genuine enthusiasm for our couples’ big day, or corporate events, paired with solid sales and communications skills.  Enquiries are generated through online wedding and other directories, agencies and the venues’ web sites, all managed through Zoho CRM.  You will build strong and friendly relationships with clients who come to rely on you and your team for reliable, accurate, quick and professional support through their viewing and booking and planning process.

Main responsibilities (not exhaustive) include:

  • Contributing towards sales team monthly and yearly targets, as well as individual commission levels
  • Ensuring high conversion rates for your own sales
  • Proactive in generating sales, suggesting changes for the betterment of the team and processes
  • Having a great understanding of both venues and be able to confidently sell two venues to potential clients
  • Maintaining self-productivity to ensure expected delivery levels and meeting targets
  • To ensure you are personable and can show confidence and wiliness during the couple’s/client’s journey through the Heritage Venues sales process
  • Maintaining and monitoring the CRM, with support of the Marketing Manager
  • Monitoring data, along with the rest of the sales and marketing team members, from weekly sales reports, lead-flow and web enquiries, conversion rates, sales data, and changing trends in customer behaviours
  • Tracking competitor activity and pricing, making recommendations for change that may be required in response
  • Proactively proposing change to enhance processes, conversion rates and customer satisfaction (internal and external)
  • Keeping yourself up to date with changes to the Heritage Venues’ offering, and physical venue changes
  • Close liaison and excellent communication with the wider Heritage Venues team to ensure efficient working – Marketing, Operations, Catering, Finance, Facilities, Board members and venue owners
  • Working with the Marketing Manager to help create blogs, reels, posts and content, to assist with marketing the venue
  • Willing to go above and beyond to meet, and exceed targets where possible

Previous experience:

  • You will have an excellent sales background and proven track record in a similar role
  • Have had customer facing experience
  • Specific experience of the wedding and events industry strongly preferred
  • Great team player, both within the sales team, and the wider Heritage team
  • Demonstrable flexibility to meet customers’ needs

Training will be provided as required.

What Heritage Venues Offer You:

The role allows for some remote working, with viewings and meetings at both venues.  Some weekend work for viewings is required, plus ad-hoc activities such as evening tasting events and weekend venue showcase events are also required throughout the year.

  • 40 hours per week including Saturday morning viewings, and Saturday/Sunday working during peak sales months (usually January and October)
