In 1990 Hobbs of Henley commissioned the design and build of The New Orleans resulting in the launch one of the finest and most luxurious passenger vessels on the Upper Thames. In the last 22 years this splendid vessel has become widely acclaimed as '...the best way to celebrate on the River'.
The New Orleans is the largest and most prestigious passenger vessel operating on the Upper Thames. Based in the delightful riverside town of Henley on Thames, you and your guests will be delighted by the scenic cruise options available to include picturesque villages and areas of outstanding natural beauty.
After a wedding ceremony or a corporate meeting in the heart of Henley, The New Orleans will be moored at the riverside with smartly uniformed stewards waiting to greet your guests. Once aboard you could choose to enjoy welcome drinks in the elegant Saloon featuring a stylish cocktail bar and luxuriously furnished interiors. Here your guests can relax on the rich buttoned velvet banquettes surrounded by mahogany inlaid panels and oak beams whilst beautiful scenery drifts by the classically draped windows. Alternatively you could consider celebrating in the sun or enjoying a warm evening breeze with an al fresco champagne reception on the Upper Deck before calling guests for a formal Wedding Breakfast or Corporate Dinner (seating 100) in the Lower Saloon.
