Built in 1915, The PV Hurlingham is listed on the National Register of Historic Ships and exudes the charm and elegance of a bygone era as one of the Grande Dames of the River Thames. Moored at Westminster, the Hurlingham is licensed as a reception venue for up to 180 guests with numerous potential pick-up points and cruise routes along the river from Putney to the Thames Barrier.
After a wedding ceremony or corporate meeting in Central London, your guests can assemble on the quayside at Westminster, Lambeth or any one of more than 10 pick-up points along the Thames. The Hurlingham will be moored at the appointed quayside waiting for your guests to step aboard. Once aboard you will be greeted by a champagne reception in the bar and upper deck as the historic sights of London glide majestically past the picture windows giving you and your guests a glimpse of the River Thames' and London's historic past.
After the champagne reception, guests can be seated for dinner in both the lower deck saloon and the upper deck where they can dine to the accompaniment of a string quartet or jazz on a baby grand. Ambassador Catering will provide gourmet menus that offer your clients a sublime dining experience in the unique ambiance of a vessel with a distinguished place in British Maritime history.
After dinner and speeches, guests can choose to alight at one of the many quayside stops available en route for photographs and cocktails whilst the Hurlingham's decks are cleared for dancing and an evening of entertainment. Enormous sliding rooflight windows slide back in fine weather so that you and your guests can dance the night away under the stars. In winter, an on board space heating system means that the boat will provide a warm and inviting retreat from the cold, as lights glisten off of the River en route back to your drop-off point. A perfect end to a perfect day.
