Milton Manor is a dreamily beautiful Georgian property built in 1680 to a design in the style of famous architect Inigo Jones. Still home to the family that have owned the estate for more than 300 years, the delightful mellow stone Manor and wonderful gardens, woodland and lakes offer a dramatic backdrop for a fairytale marquee wedding for up to 300 guests. The house itself (though not regularly open to the general public) includes some rare examples of the gothic decorative style popular during the late Georgian period together with fine antiques and family heirlooms courtesy of the current owner's ancestor Bryant Barratt, a wealthy landowner and lacemaker to George III. Although again not open to the general public or available for use for wedding ceremonies, the family Chapel within the manor is a masterpiece of Gothic design featuring a breathtaking 13th Century stained glass window that was relocated from Steventon Church in 1764 when the Roman Catholic Chapel was built and consecrated with special permission from the King.

The gardens of this jewel of fine historic architecture is extremely versatile as a venue for Summer wedding receptions and private/corporate functions. From small gatherings of 30-50 guests looking for the simplicity of a billowing white marquee reception decorated with candle-lit storm lanterns and swags of garden roses accompanied by a chilled out jazz quartet to those requiring a more formal sit down wedding breakfast for 300 guests in a grand tented marquee complete with chandeliers, dance floor, white-gloved waiters, a champagne fountain and five-tiered wedding cake. Event packages at Milton Manor are provided by Ambassador Catering including marquee hire, tables and chairs, catering/drinks, linen, cutlery, crockery, glassware, service and a dedicated Event Manager to ensure that your Wedding or Corporate Event is perfect.

Although the house itself is not licensed yet for civil ceremonies, the owners are very happy to allow access to some of the stunning interiors of Milton Manor for your wedding/event photographs, whilst you and your guests will have exclusive use of the grounds for your special day.
