Licensed for civil weddings, ceremonies can be held in one of three locations within the House, including the wonderfully ornate Great Hall. By arrangement those wishing to marry in church may wish to consider the 13th Century Parish Church of Great Hampden, St Mary Magdalene, situated within the grounds and a short walk from the House.
This magnificent house with 1,000 years of history is one of the most sought after wedding venues in the county and has hosted exclusive weddings for nearly 20 years. Set in 300 acres of privately-owned grounds, complete with exquisitely tended lawns and a tree-lined driveway, Hampden House is offered to you exclusively for your wedding day or corporate event.
Civil Ceremonies
The private and exclusive atmosphere of Hampden House offers the perfect location for a civil ceremony amongst family and friends. After the ceremony the gardens provide the perfect setting for a champagne and canapé reception, followed by a 3 course wedding breakfast held in the beautiful white and gold Dining Room for up to 100 seated guests.
As part of the civil ceremony service you will be provided with two fresh flower arrangements in the Great Hall and a music system to provide background music of your choice. At Hampden House we are happy to assist you with any special requirements that you may have. Should you wish to hold an intimate civil ceremony during the week followed by a small champagne reception, we would be happy to accommodate you.
Receptions and Corporate Events
Share your vows in front of family and friends or host a prestigious corporate event in the unique setting of the Great Hall. Enjoy canapés and champagne on the manicured lawns and capture spectacular photographs with far reaching views along the Misbourne Valley. Host a glorious wedding breakfast or corporate dinner within the beautifully decorated white and gold Dining Room with chandeliers, ornate mirrors and carved fireplaces.
As a venue for all seasons, the stunning Dining Room can also accommodate up to 150 guests for a champagne and canapé reception and seats up to 100 guests for a wedding breakfast or corporate dinner from our star chefs at Ambassador Catering.
For those celebrations taking place within the intimate setting of the House, the elegant Georgian Room sets the scene for your evening entertainment and is conveniently located adjacent to the Lounge Bar.
For the ultimate mix of a lawn wedding or corporate event with Hampden House as the backdrop, you have the option to have a marquee erected within the picturesque gardens which can accommodate events for up to 800 guests.
